Stephen J. Blewitt
Steve was formerly the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Private Markets at Manulife Investment Management. In this role, he was responsible for leading global investment teams across a wide range of asset classes, including private equity and credit, real estate, infrastructure, timber, and agriculture. Steve has served as a director of many public and private companies during his career, including two of Manulife’s U.S. SEC-registered investment advisors. At Manulife, he was also Co-Executive Sponsor of Valuing the Inclusion of Black Experiences (“VIBE”), an employee resource group, and Chair of the Private Markets Sustainable Investment Committee.
He is presently Co-Founder and Manager of Youth.Work.Connect., a mission-based organization that focuses on building career networks through youth employment, and a board member of the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago, and a member of the Graham Council at the University of Chicago. He previously served as a member and Chair of the Town of Reading’s (MA) Finance Committee, a member of Americares Leadership Council, and is a lifelong blood donor.
Steve received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, his M.B.A. from the Questrom School at Boston University, and was a 2023-24 Fellow in the University of Chicago’s Leadership & Society Initiative.

Patrick Campbell
Patrick Campbell is the President and founder of Perth Advisors, a placement agent that raises private equity and debt capital for fund managers. He has been involved in over $15 billion of private placements primarily for funds and separate accounts for real estate equity and debt, LBO, venture, distressed, corporate mezzanine debt, and hedge funds.
Prior to founding Perth Advisors in 2010, Patrick was a Managing Partner at Benedetto, Gartland & Company, Inc., where he worked for over 14 years. Prior to BGC, he was a Vice President at Philo Smith & Company, a boutique investment bank located in Stamford, CT, which specialized in the insurance industry and managed two hedge funds. He began his career running his family’s hospitality business at the age of 17.
Nathaniel Margolis
Nathaniel is an experienced lawyer, business partner, and strategic advisor. He spent several years leading legal teams at a major financial services firm, most recently as chief counsel of a global team responsible for the proprietary balance sheet investments of the firm’s various operating subsidiaries and its private markets business (private equity and credit and real asset funds and other products), across North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Throughout his career, Nathaniel has covered investments in both debt and equity across a wide range of asset classes and business types.
He has deep substantive expertise, and interest in, a variety of investment and asset types, including alternative investments. He has experience as a transactional lawyer and was responsible for structuring, negotiating, and closing many different types of deals and structures. As an in-house lawyer, he has considerable experience working investments through their entire lifespan and has workout, troubled asset, and insolvency experience during several business cycles.
Nathaniel’s signature strength is a collaborative approach to projects and business objectives, involving complex, interrelated and competing issues – business, law, tax, accounting, compliance, and concerns unique to the particular organizations and their constituencies. He leverages both legal and business experience to serve as a trusted advisor in guiding investment managers, operating businesses, institutional investors, and family offices.
